I am a 23 year old currently employed at McAfee Labs in Alpharetta, GA specializing in UI and interaction design. I have a background in a variety of languages and enjoy the challenge of learning new skills on every project. I attended the University of Georgia and graduated in May 2010 with an undergraduate degree in Management Information Systems with hopes of one day being a IT project manager. I have lived in Georgia my entire life and absolutely love the seasons of the South and the ability to wear shorts virtually year round. My favorite hobbies include watching and playing football, baseball and lacrosse, watching movies, programming and designing websites, and playing poker with friends. My favorite television shows are The Office, House, Big Bang Theory, Good Eats, PTI and How I Met Your Mother.
Throughout my time in and outside of the classroom I have proven my ability to think quickly and solve complex problems. Coupled with both exemplary written and verbal communication skills, I am able to effectively ask questions and discern the real problems at hand. In virtually any situation I am able to maintain a cool head and perspective about the situation to make the right choice. My professional exploits have led me to become increasingly familiar with how to manage projects, deadlines, and ever changing expectations. My recent project and leadership experiences outside of work include being the president and CEO of the Global Text Society, the student arm of the Global Text Project, lead designer and creative consultant of the UGA Student Government Freshman Handbook, website chair and Island Party Promotion Manager of the UGA chapter of Beta Upsilon Chi Fraternity. These experiences have afforded me the ability to manage both large and small groups and focus on maintaining a sense of order in meetings as well as promoting the free flow of creative ideas.
